One-Stop Customization, Worry-Free

Many custom merchants outsource their processes to multiple factories, splitting cutting, printing, and assembly across different locations. Multiple transfers and handovers extend lead times and easily lead to color deviations, dimensional errors, and buck-passing. We own a complete production workshop: laser cutting, polishing, UV printing, hot bending, assembly, and quality inspection are all completed in-house. By unifying control standards, we shorten production cycles and strictly manage product quality.

Outsourced Model Longyi Internal
Shipping You → Factory → Subcontractor → Factory → You You → Longyi (One Contact, One Process)

What Drives the Pricing of Custom Acrylic?

Six factors determine quotes: dimensions, materials, quantity, surface treatment, complexity, and packaging. We do not publish fixed prices—every product is custom-made. Here is how each factor moves the numbers.

Dimensions & Size

Material costs grow with surface area. A 100x100mm display uses about 4x less sheet material than a 200x200mm one. For parts exceeding 600mm, multi-panel assembly replaces single-piece cutting—adding bonding labor while keeping material costs manageable.

Material Type

Clear cast acrylic is the baseline. Colored, frosted, mirrored, and UV-filtering sheets carry specific premiums based on supplier and grade, which are clearly stated in our quotation.

Order Quantity

The largest single cost lever. Programming and setup costs amortize across units. On a 100-piece production run, setup is a major component of unit cost. At 500 pieces, it's much smaller. At 5,000+ pieces, optimized nesting layouts further reduce material waste.

Finishing & Branding

Silk-screen printing typically offers the lowest unit price for simple logos. UV direct printing increases cost but produces full-color and gradients. Hot stamping (foil) costs more per hit but creates premium metallic effects. Diamond polishing is standard across all products.

Structural Complexity

Simple flat cutouts (pillars, display stands) require the least labor. Multi-part components add bonding time. LED integration increases electrical work. Magnetic closures provide precise routing. Every mechanical feature adds 1 to 3 production steps.

Packaging & Shipping

Standard bulk packaging (OPP bags, foam partition inserts) is included in the unit price. Individual retail packaging—branded boxes, foam inner pads, printed sleeves—increases per-piece costs. Shipping methods also affect overall costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I provide dimensions to ensure factory accuracy?

Please provide dimensions in Length × Width × Thickness, precisely measured in millimeters (mm). For special features like rounded corners or cutouts, please clearly indicate their positions and radii.

⚠️ Important Notes:

1. Safety Margins: Keep all important content (text/logos) at least 3-5mm away from the edges to prevent accidental trimming.

2. Assembly Tolerances: For multi-piece assemblies, we recommend leaving a 0.3-0.5mm gap to accommodate cutting tolerances (typically ±0.1mm to ±0.5mm) and ensure easy assembly.

3. Reference Material: Providing physical photos, three-view drawings, or CAD source files is highly recommended to avoid measurement errors.

What happens if my acrylic products break during shipping?

This is a common concern. A reliable manufacturer will provide comprehensive packaging and after-sales protection:

Professional Packaging: Large sheets are protected with double-sided scratch-resistant film, surrounded by EPE (Expanded Polyethylene) foam, and secured in fully enclosed wooden crates.

Shipping Insurance & Claims: Reputable factories insure the freight. If you find damage upon opening the package, simply take photos and send them to us within 24 hours. We will re-ship the new items free of charge.

What types of acrylic sheets are available, and how do I choose?

There are two common types: Cast Acrylic and Extruded Acrylic. Cast acrylic has a higher molecular weight, making it ideal for deep processing such as heat bending and engraving. Extruded acrylic offers superior flatness and is better suited for large-scale applications. If your budget allows, we highly recommend selecting sheets made from 100% virgin cast PMMA material.

How is pricing calculated? By area or per piece?

Pricing is not based solely on area. Quotations are calculated comprehensively based on sheet material costs, specific processing required (cutting, printing, drilling, etc.), and order quantity. Larger volumes always result in a lower unit price.

What is the expected dimensional error? What are the tolerance ranges?

For standard laser cutting, our normal tolerance is ±0.2mm. For large, irregularly shaped parts, the maximum tolerance is ±0.3mm. For precision components, tolerances can be strictly controlled upon specific request.

What are the standard thicknesses? Will insufficient thickness cause deformation?

Our standard thicknesses range from 2mm, 3mm, 5mm, 8mm, 10mm, 15mm, up to 20mm. Large-area thin sheets are prone to bending when displayed long-term. For such applications, we strongly recommend upgrading to a thicker material.

Are your sheets made of virgin or recycled materials? How is the transparency?

We strictly use 100% virgin acrylic material, ensuring high transparency without any impurities. Recycled materials have poor transparency and tend to turn yellow over time.

What is acrylic? Is it different from plastic or plexiglass?

Acrylic is essentially Plexiglass, which belongs to the PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate) plastic family. However, regular plastic is far inferior to acrylic in terms of hardness and light transmittance.
